Dear Preppers and Survivalists,

Limitations
You and your family may have seen this image of a college professor wearing so-called body armour, in protest, at a college in Texas.

Well, ... It seems, he forgot or couldn't afford the kelvar inserts for the vest.

Let me explain.

Protecting yourself from bullets is a little complicated.

First, you have to purchase the carrier (It holds the 'body armour') then you have to purchase the inserts. (That's the stuff that really stops bullets)

Needless to say, not every insert will stop the same type of bullet. Yeap, there are protection levels.

Second, fabric (Yes, the most popular 'bullet-proof' material, kelvar, is a fabric) won't stop knives. A knife will cut through kelvar, just like ... butter.

So, ... You have to purchase an anti-stab vest, if you're seeking protection from knives.

Third, most folks aren't going to need a vest.

Why?

You are going to move to a different neighborhood, a different state, or a different country 'If' you and your family are facing a threat that requires you to wear body armour, you are going to move!!!

With that said, some folks are going to want to purchase some vests for tough times. You'll need two, one for concealment and one overt.

The concealable one, is probably going to be a kelvar vest that's designed to defeat 9mm rounds, Level II. These vest are worn when you and your partner are out and about doing needed shopping around town. You know, ... grocery shopping because you're trying to preserve your long-term food storage.

The overt vest is going to be something ... tactical. Think these United States' military ...

Justification
Of course, you are probably going to need to justify an expensive and unique item, like body armour.

Well, ... Just say it's for your health. You know ...

Health Insurance ; - )
