Volume Four: Number Forty-Seven

Untitled (Courtyard)

Huxley vs. Orwell
For decades, there has been talk of who would win the prediction of our dystopian future, Aldous Huxley or George Orwell.

For George Orwell, the future was of the State controlling all, our economy, our politics, our emotions, our lives.

As one of the character from 1984 says, ..."If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stomping on the human face, forever".
If you want a vision of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face - forever.

For Aldous Huxley, the future was a place where anyone could have anything they desired, except freedom.

As one of the character from Brave New World says, ... “A really efficient totalitarian state would be one in which the all-powerful executive of political bosses and their army of managers control a population of slaves who do not have to be coerced, because they love their servitude.”

As you can see, we are still having the argument.

Note:
The two books were adapted for the silver screen.

Things You Might Want to Think About

1% of 1%
Notice, ... There are no protests at the home of the newest members of the 1%, the Obamas

2 More Years
The Republicans controlled the House, the Senate, and the Presidency for two years. Our country didn't get a secure border, we didn't start deporting more illegal immigrants, we didn't get ...

So, ...

I predict, the Democrats will control the House, Senate, and the Presidency in two years

Acosta and the Media
Thanks dumb asses!!!

Now, you're going to have an approved procedure to prevent conservative reporters from asking questions, in the future.

Bonuses
That's what I always spend my bonuses on, guns, magazines, and ammunition.

Cash
Let me get this straight, ...

A 'Black' man walks into a bakery. He pulls out a wad of cash. He is refused service.

And, ...

It is legal

Comcast
Dude, ... OPSEC

Disarmament
Hey police officers, you know how you feel certain that the Democrats and some Republicans anti-freedom forces won't take your guns?

The FaceBook
Wow, ... You can't trust the Democrats

Girl Scouts
Just in case you missed it, ...

"Sixty percent of women who will serve next Congress are Girl Scout alums."

Headline, Fake
Liberals Suppress Conservatives' Rights in Philadelphia

P.S.
Read the last paragragh

Killing
Saudi Arabia and Iran are in a war. Saudi Arabia is Sunni while Iran is Shiite (sometimes called Shea).

Like all wars, people and nations pick sides, if they can't keep themselves out of that war. Needless to say, ...

These United States picked sides, long ago, because we needed oil for our country.

Well, ...

It seems under former President Obama, we started assisting Iran, to possibly counter the power of Saudi Arabia. I think it's called 'Great Power Politics' (Great Powers) (Power Politics).

Now, when Nations and Religions compete against each other, it takes many forms, sometimes overt and sometimes covert. Using covert methods, Nations support citizens that have become disillusioned with their home country to spread propaganda. Propaganda that might be facts, like ...

Saudi Arabia is a autocratic, repressive, barbaric regime, hostile to homosexuals, women and non-believers.

Iran is too, but that's not my point.

My point, ...

Jamal Khashoggi is just another casualty in a long war between Saudi Arabia and Iran that we could care less about. (Lord of War)

Neighbors
All I have to say, ...

An Armed Society is a Polite Society

Olympics
For most cities, it's a one time shot in the arm with a few decades of recovering from the malinvestment.

Prank
Around my part of these United States, some folks would be probably dead, shot by a concealed firearm carrier.

Recommendation
Wow, ... The President of these United States just endorsed Ms. Nancy Pelosi for Speaker of the House.

I guess, ...

She isn't going to get a lot of votes

Socialism
Remember, ... It is about power, pure power to control the people.

Science
If you want knowledge, you invest in Science. If you want profit, you invest in Engineering

With that said, ...

For some Sciences, we have discovered the inexpensive, easy stuff, so we will get less bang for our buck, in the future, for the hard stuff.

Snow
Are you prepared for ...

Government ineptitude?

Taxes
I pay taxes. These taxes go to poor people for healthcare, food, housing and other essentials. My taxes also go to helping veterans. My taxes go towards providing money to Public Radio. My taxes also go towards parks and recreational areas. My taxes go towards health research. My taxes also go towards many other things.

So, ...

Why should I support your liberal charity that might not be there for me and my family while we have to support programs we disagree with?

And, ...

Please support organizations that I believe in, like the Second Amendment Foundation, Jews for the Preservation of Firearm Ownership, and ...

Welfare
It's funny.

Mr. Bernard Sanders is worried about the China-Marts receiving benefits from welfare.

Programs he wants to increase

Warning
I promise you. People will hunt you down. If you're lucky, you and your partners will only face life in prison. If the hunters are seeking true justice, you will swing at the end of a rope, as a reminder to all potential tyrants.

P.S.
I think these scumbags are getting off easy. The Cambodian and Vietnamese people should have put a plastic shopping bag over their head, in an empty field, like some of their victims.

Overheard

"There’s also an inadvertently tragic ramification of today’s trendy Democratic Socialist ideas. If you actually added $40 trillion to the U.S. national debt, as Ocasio-Cortez has proposed, it would be younger people and future generations that have to bear the astronomical tax burden when the bills come due."

"And so we enter a new stage of collapse."

"Here are the stakes: next time the Dems control everything we’re getting gun control out the ass. A new and worse ban on “Assault Weapons” is almost a guarantee. And yes, this will give the GOP an excuse to take us for granted and not do anything for us."

"power is persuading people to cooperate, force is making them obey"

"We are gravely concerned by recent reports indicating that your company used contractors to retaliate against or spread intentionally inflammatory information about your critics,"

"it’s time to dig in and get ready for a fight."

"With the election of Trump, this bias has reached hysterical heights.  The press no longer feigns objectivity, but has openly declared war on the Trump administration, contorting the news to suit a narrative.  They feel justified unabashedly lying and misrepresenting facts because they believe Trump is a loathsome person whose policies are bad for America.  They blindly insist they know what’s best."

"So, is Amazon saying the devices do record conversations?"

"Today, the United States and its allies and partners are facing a China more capable and increasingly confident in its ability to use the military as a tool to intimidate countries throughout the Indo-Pacific and support the expansion of its global interests,"

"Like our taxes they want to spread the mental suffering equally to everyone else."

"Children who disclose having sex with multiple people over short periods of time, who are homeless or who show up with a non-relative that does not want to the leave the child alone should all be suspected of being trafficked."

"The Double Standards of acceptable behavior have once again reached a new low."

"Interesting question: Did Gersh try to oust the mother of Richard Spencer from the town they lived in? While harassment is illegal, and should be punished, was justice denied to the mother of Richard Spencer, while being applied to Anglin?"

"“Tyranny” was a healthy reminder that Silicon Valley’s rhetoric of openness and meritocracy doesn’t match the reality."

Keel timbers for a new subchaser are inspected in an Eastern shipyard. By calling back some of its retired workers and by training green hands, the yard produced so efficiently that it now flies the coveted Navy "E"

This adzeman, adept at an ancient trade, hones a razor-edge on a tool that is indispensable in shaping ship timbers. His work is to fashion keels and other heavy members for subchasers under construction at an Eastern shipyard

An old shipwright gives his skill and experience to the building of subchasers in an Eastern shipyard. He has helped to turn out many oyster and fishing boats, and worked at shipbuilding in the last war. He has done much to help his present employer earn the coveted Navy "E"

An old shipwright and a son who came up in the same trade inspect a timber that will be used in the keel of a new subchaser. The father had retired some years ago, but came back to give his skill and experience to an Eastern shipyard. He is now foreman of the keel department and the son is foreman of the mill department

Now well over seventy, this old ship fitter came out of retirement to help build subchasers at a Southern shipyard. At the pipe-bending job he is doing, and at other jobs, he has helped the yard win the coveted Navy "E"

This machinist's helper in a Southern shipyard now building subchasers learned his new shop duties so rapidly that he is credited as one of the men who helped the yard to earn the Navy "E." Like others in this shop, he had no previous experience in his present work
