Because this article shows what happens when people are dealing with 26% inflation, then to top it off, the government implements price controls.

Folks are going to try and get out of paper money and into physical assets. I suggest food, food, and more food then ammo and guns to protect it.

Next up is an article from Spiegel: Online. It would seem that the euro zone is falling apart because everyone realizes that the German citizens aren't going to be Europe's patsies.

This is a big deal (Governments unable to refinance their debt) because everybody holds these debts directly or indirectly. Banks hold government debt then you hold the same bank's stocks or bonds. Your employer sells to the federal, state or local government with the understanding they won't get payed for 90 days (90 days same as cash!), or your pension invests directly in government debt like T-bills, munis, and/or other debt.

Almost lastly, it would seem that Germany has the same problem as these United States, Its power grid is inadequate.
